Tena Brown Continues to Inspire with CeraVe, L’Oreal and Cups of Compassion

For almost three decades, Tena Brown has traveled the world as an empathy educator and patient advocate, offering inspiring words of wisdom for others.  Her workshops and keynotes help medical professionals, businesses, and individuals develop important empathy skills to create positive and unforgettable experiences.

At the young age of 17 years old, a rheumatologist stated that Tena Brown would be crippled within five years due to her chronic disease and suggested to her parents only one option; to be locked away in a nursing home for future care.  This experience began the journey, not only becoming a personal advocate for herself, but many others around the world as well.

Recently, Tena Brown once again joined CeraVe, and L’Oreal in furthering her mission to support compassionate, committed, and caring nurses who form the backbone of the healthcare world.  The fun, exciting event was filled with inspirational messages, but more importantly a time to reflect on the purpose of healthcare providers.

Starting with an intimate dinner at Queensyard with representatives from both CeraVe and L’Oreal representatives, Ms. Brown and CeraVe cultivated the perfect partnership with the Daisy Foundation while enjoying the views of the Hudson River in New York City.

The DAISY Foundation, which stands for Diseases Attacking the Immune System is a not-for-profit organization which is the first program of its kind to give patients, families, and co-workers a way to express their gratitude to nurses.  Provide compassionate care to patients and their families.  Since inception, The DAISY Award has become a strategic tool for nurse recruitment, retention, and resilience that has been adopted by thousands of healthcare organizations and schools of nursing around the U.S. and around the world.

As usual, Tena Brown captivated her audience with her dynamic presentation, southern charm, quick wit, and amazing outlook on life embracing everyone.  As a brand ambassador for CeraVe, the skincare line developed by dermatologists which changed her skin and life as a psoriasis patient herself; she captivated her audience with a beautiful message of finding their passion while helping others.

Tena Brown is the founder of Cups of Compassion which was created for three reasons.  The first to be a reminder to ‘drink-in’ compassion for yourself each day.  Next, to help you to ‘drink-in’ compassion for others in your world.  And finally, to provide an exceptional coffee-drinking experience that is ethically sourced, easy on your body, and delicious.  Regrettably, there is a massive nursing shortage and by supporting Cups of Compassion you demonstrate your willingness to help us impact the future of nursing.
